Basing on the European Civil Society Platform on lifelong learning’s recommendations, the project has developed a train the trainer programme aimed to provide vocational teachers with the necessary skills to integrate key skills for life competences into their vocational areas.
Target Groups addressed:
- vocational teachers and trainers
- learner groups including 16-19 year olds at initial vocational level
- mature students
- unemployed
- employees
- employers
Primary Outcomes of the Project
- standards for integrating skills for life competences into vocational teaching across Europe
- Identified training needs of non specialist teachers to meet the diverse learner needs
- train the trainer materials offering a variety of learning methodologies, web based materials and video clips and CD/DVDs.
- Pilot of the learning materials to a range of vocational staff and learners in each partner institution and evaluation of the outcomes
- training guides to use materials in all partner languages
- Gathering, collation and analysis of examples of good practice
- Dissemination of the outcomes so that products are transferable to meet the needs of other EU countries
- Investigation on the long term potential for including the products in partner countries’ teacher training programmes
