170 successful business exchanges between overall 85 new entrepreneurs and 85 Host Entrepreneurs will be carried out by the project ‘Entrepreneurs’ Mobility VIII’

We are proud to announce that the project proposal EMVIII under Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs has been approved.

It’s the eighth time in a row that CSCS participates successfully in this European exchange programme together with a strong partnership. This time in fact CSCS leads a consortium composed by Asset Tec (Greece), Ayuntamiento de Santander (Spain), European Minds Sweden AB (Sweden), ATO – Chamber of Commerce in Ankara (Turkey), IFA (Austria), Fundatia Danis pentru Dezvoltare Manageriala (Romania), Coopération Bancaire pour l’Europe (Belgium), Associacao Industrial Portuguesa – Camara de Comercio e Industria AIPCCI (Portugal) and Business in the Community (United Kingdom).

The pilot project ‘ERASMUS for Young Entrepreneurs’ was launched in 2008 by the European Commission and in 2014, after promising results, was turned into a more consolidated programme and included in the Programme for the Competitiveness of Enterprises and Small and Medium Enterprises (COSME).

The objective of EYE – Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs – is to provide to new or aspiring entrepreneurs the chance to learn from experienced entrepreneurs running small businesses in other participating countries. The cross-border exchange of experience takes place during a stay with the experienced entrepreneur that will help the newcomer to acquire the skills needed to run a small firm.

At the same time the host will benefit from fresh perspectives brought by the young entrepreneur and will get the opportunities to cooperate with foreign partners and learn about new markets.

According to this framework our proposal ‘Entrepreneurs’ Mobility VIII’ aims at facilitating new entrepreneurs to plan and accomplish a successful cooperation with a host entrepreneur in another participating country. Within the contractual period, EM VIII will implement overall 170 successful business exchanges, involving overall 85 new entrepreneurs and 85 Host Entrepreneurs.

In order to accomplish the objectives set up by the proposal, EM VIII Consortia relies on a solid network of over 200.000 small and medium-sized enterprises ‘SMEs’, and on the proven ability in implementing successful transnational business exchanges among innovative SMEs over the past years.

Entrepreneurs who join the EYE Programme will receive support and technical assistance before, during and after their stay abroad.

The contractual period is planned to start on february and soon after we will attend the kick-off meeting in Brussels.

We are truly excited to begin this new adventure!
