What is EYE? And what does “EYE 121” mean?
“EYE 121” refers to one-on-one (121) sessions where individual entrepreneurs had the opportunity to learn about the benefits of the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs (EYE) programme. These sessions took place on June 19 at the Polo Tecnologico Lucchese in Lucca, Italy.
The event was part of a broader series of meetings organized by the Chamber of Commerce of North-West Tuscany, in collaboration with the Polo Tecnologico Lucchese - a business accelerator and hub for technological and entrepreneurial innovation, and home to the INNOVA business school.
Our goal was to raise awareness of this EU-funded initiative and how it can support both emerging entrepreneurs and businesses. We’re excited to report that by the end of the day, several participants had already expressed interest in joining the programme as host companies!
How does it work for host companies?
The Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs programme is an EU-funded exchange initiative that allows new entrepreneurs to learn from experienced ones. The new entrepreneur receives a grant to support their stay - meaning there is no cost to the host company.
The host company benefits from fresh ideas, new perspectives, and the opportunity to collaborate with motivated individuals eager to contribute to their business. It’s a highly stimulating and practical experience that brings lasting value - collaborations often continue beyond the exchange, fostering concrete and enduring international business relationships. Exchanges can last from one to six months.
Impressive 2024 results!
In 2024 our host companies welcomed new entrepreneurs from 27 participating countries and awarded €876,509.54 in grants to 198 programme participants.
